Have been trying to transition from the medical device industry to consulting for about a yr now! Most consulting roles I get rejected due to having only a narrow experience, any advise?

Relocating to Columbus, OH area. Would prefer to transition to Independent. Have over 5 yrs as lead advisor experience and cfp. Could probably transition 4-5m and help with existing book.

I currently work in FDD and have an outstanding offer from another consulting firm in their strategy practice. I have a desire to eventually jump to Private Equity but that seems unlikely without banking experience. Would making this jump help or hurt those chances? Thanks in advance!

Should I pursue python or stay on java?
