Firm i am interviewing with is a midsize firm. I have 3 years of complex lit experience, they do simple property law. They need me for pre-lit only. No interviewers were able to discuss compensation, so they set me up with a phone call with the owner today. Owner never called. Part of me wants to send a passive agressive email telling them no thanks because they do not respect my time and another part of me wants to be understanding. What do i do?
At what point of the interview cycle are references called? Near final round? Or after final round and before offer?
If you’re in software sales, would you recommend your company? Currently a Sr AEX at Oracle and getting a bit tired of the grind of a Oracle...wondering if there are sales people out there love their job and recommend applying for their company?

I had a phone interview with a recruiter last week for a dream job. They said they’d follow up this week. But I haven’t heard anything back. What’s the best way to follow up? They approached me.
I'm going through a layoff at my job. I was a programmer many years ago and have gradually moved to a Project Management role over the years. I don't really like that kind of work and see an opportunity here to reskill a bit. What are thoughts on microdegrees or certificates from the like of Coursera? I have good tech acumen, just wondering if someone would hire in the area of Data Science with one of these degrees. For info: 40s, 20+ years experience, and BBA in Computer Info Systems.
Going for an interview next week, HR told me 3 times to be ready to talk about my work. I have a book, and I’ll walk them through my fav projects, but do I need a deck? Are they hinting at something?
How can I be a role model for my bright eyed staff when I myself am burned out, unmotivated, and generally miserable in this role? Hard not to let show the emotional toll the stress has taken on me.
Got laid off a month ago after 1.5 years despite great snapshots and utilization. Was just offered a consulting position at a much smaller local firm for $5,000 less than what I was making before

Got an interview for a non-Tech role at Amazon Prime Video (data and insight). Anyone have any experience with the interviews for these roles at FAANG?
Started career in consulting, went to industry, now back in consulting as a senior industry expert. No sales targets. Being heavily recruited by another firm to join as a partner and build a practice. 100% comfortable with everything in the role except selling. I have great rolodex and close relationships with many C-level execs but have never approached them to sell services. Any partners have advice on how to start building a book of business when you haven't been a seller?
@EY does your company offer any specials re: student loan refi? For example Deloitte gives an additional 0.25% off Sofi. Kinda not sure if I should be refi-ing now, considering I’m looking at potential $75k -> $100k+ raise if I end up at EY in a few months. Trying to take advantage of low rates while they last tho, not sure what they’ll be like in ~2-3 months time
How does Big 4 Accounting firms get away with working people for 12+ hours consistently without violating any labor laws?
Has anyone worked with a product/company naming firm? What was your experience? We hired own for a project and it feels like they’re using a random word generator.
I see a lot of Big 4 consultants romanticize strategy work on this forum, but are there any other MBB consultants that don't like strategy? Personally haven't enjoyed the strategy work I've done
Any advice on property investing during covid? I want to buy a small single family home and rent it out but in these circumstances I'm scared if I'll get tenants or not.
As someone on H1B, can you serve on board of a start-up, or act as an advisor? Are you allowed to get paid? If not in a paid position, can you be compensated purely with equity?
