Have offer at interesting late stage startup, 135k base 15k bonus and approx 20-25k in stock grants annually. Feels a bit on the low side but it's a decent raise in any case (7 years consulting xp plus MBA). Worth negotiating for 5-10k more in base?

Base is low, especially after MBA and 7 YOE. Where is this company located? In what space does this startup play in?

like

Denver but role is remote. Consumer-facing fintech company.

Not that low depends on where OPs MBA is from. If non target doesn't really matter as they weren't receiving target MBA salary at Deloitte

Way way way too low on all parts. Equity should be the easiest to bridge the gap. If they don’t budge at all, walk away.

Of course, always negotiate. But they may have more room on the stock, which you should try to bump as high as possible

Yes but like DA1 said you’ll probably have better luck negotiating stock. Sounds a bit low as is for a HCOL
