Rising Star
Seeing how my friend is progressing in EY cloud transformation I’m inclined to tell you to go to EY. He came in as M1 a year and some change ago, they’re already in talks for SM. If you’re talented you’ll rise quickly.
I mean, you're right, there are a few more levels to Deloitte partner rank it seems. So it may take longer to get there. But the comp and the work seem right, and at this level, the responsibilities seem the same.
I’d say EY. I feel like they’re faster paced than D
Sorry that isn’t clear. They’re progression to Partner seems faster paced. D seems to move pretty slow with promotions and one of my friends at EY who’s been there like 1.5 years says it seems quicker there.
Not sure how much weight this holds as it’s hearsay but I’ve heard the work life balance is much better at EY for only marginally less pay than D
Yeah I've heard that on occasion but these companies are so large, it's difficult to know as different groups can be very different. Did you hear that specifically about the Applied AI team at D? Maybe I should cross post in the Data & Analytics bowl
What are $$ involved from EY and D?
I would be, yeah
Work life balance is a jargon at Deloitte
I heard that about most of EY, too. Which is why I'm wondering specifically about the Applied AI team. I dunno. It seems to me like the work at D will be more aligned with my interests, even if it's incrementally harder. But I turned down referrals to McKinsey and BCG because that lifestyle ain't me. I wonder if WLB difference is really going to be that significant.
EY for sure. Faster progression and way better work life balance
