Have opportunity to buy a 2006 BMW E46 M3 6-speed for about $2500. Good deal? Car has 117k on the odometer and pictures and carfax show the car was well maintained. Would be buying through a reputable online auction.

The S54 engine alone is worth $5,000. It’s probably a $2,500 opening bid.

2500 or 25k? Those cars have skyrocketed in value I would be shocked to see one for sale at that price

like

good carmax, reputable platform, maintenance. I mean $2500 to a lotta folks here is prob pocket change. So low risk for a joy ride car (as long as you don’t buy this as your every day car lol)

If it looks too good to be true it is. If normal prices are 10x more than something is wrong with. Get an extremely intensive PPI done by a reputable shop for BMWs, if the seller refuses or gives you a hard time about getting one then run, not walk away.

I was looking at that exact M3 on CarGurus and most of them are sitting around $20-26k so if you’re getting a clean one for $2500, I would take it.

These cars were 20-25 back in 2014-2015 with 100k miles

For $2500 - SNAG IT!

Do you mean 25k? Cause if 2500 I’ll give you 4K to flip it to me for a quick profit 😂

If it’s 2500 and you don’t want it, please share the link here!

$2500? If that’s the case buy it and I’ll buy it from you for $10k tomorrow. Easy way to make a nice return

Ngl didn’t even see it, but I’ll shamelessly bid you up 😂

About to give a go at negotiating a price for a used ‘21 Mercedes’ GLE 350 - 7k miles. I know it’s a tough buyers market but any tips on ways to negotiate? Features are about the same but the more expensive option has nicer wheels so maybe that’s worth ~$2k. TIA

Some cars you dreamed about when you were younger that when you got to the age where you could drive one, you realized, man, I’d rather be in something else! I tried getting to an Aventador a few years ago when my M5 was being serviced and I realized I was too bulky to get in. When I was looking for. Y current daily driver, I thought about leasing an Alfa Romeo, it again, too bulky to get in. I looked into getting a C6 Corvette before, and then realized that driving one would kill my back.

Buy/lease now or defer to Q1-2023?

My car broke (engine seized, 10y old). I am interested in 530i ($62k price), however 3year lease is $1,000+ monthly (with $5k down). Monthly lesse payment is 50% more than bmw advertised offers (“south FL dealers are not participating in the program”)

Q to car gurus/experts- should I defer purchase/lease for 6 months? My logic, the impending recession will reduce demand and we will go back to more balanced market (lower prices with negotiation).
