Hello, looking for insight on Microsoft security consultant role. I have an interview lined up and would like to know how the role compares to big4 security consultants that specialize in Microsoft security technologies.
What are some ways other than loans and scholarships to finance your MBA? I’m thinking GA positions, maybe being a freshman studies mentor, etc. Do you think the financial aid office would be able to help me out with finding these open positions?
Have been Working in Salesforce domain for a year now. Was involved in development & Admin tasks both, but have no certification so far. What growth can I expect looking for a Switch ? Looking to transition... Currently in a specialized sales leader role and in the next 3yrs I’m wanting to take my skills/knowledge/experience independent and start a sales consultancy business. I have a niche I plan to focus on but was wondering what can be the pitfalls or things to be aware of going independent? Any fellow independent consultants on here?
anyone willing to provide a referral?
Struggling to evaluate an offer and would like some help. currently make ~150/8/10ish base/bonus/RSU, ~170ish all in excluding benefits. I would be transferring to a startup with a base of 180k with equity. The benefits at my current job amount to maybe a few k more than at the startup. So, overall my cash compensation amounts to roughly the same or a slight increase. The potential upside is the equity. Is that small comp increase enough to warrant leaving a big company, even with equity?
Hi, looking for a transition to a Product Manager role from a Project/Program manager. Please let me know jf any leads.
As a recent undergrad graduate and multiple years of workforce experience under my belt I feel as if I am ready for a directors role in my industry, but no employer will look in my direction.
Should I get a full or queen size mattress for my studio apartment during MBA school? I usually sleep on a queen size but it will be a tight fit. I’m worried a full will be too small.
Hello fishes. I'm an MBA graduate currently working as a digital marketing professional in a mid size consulting firm with 3 years of experience. I am terribly underpaid in my current org at 5.5 LPA after a recent promotion and annual appraisal. Another mid size consulting firm offered me 7.5 LPA but I am asking them around 9 LPA. Am I asking too much or shall I take the offer of 7.5 LPA? Thank you
Hii! Looking for compensation range for a mid level researcher in San Diego, California! Do all companies provide a sign in bonus? What’s that like?

20+ years in the military as HR Officer with training and education leadership experience. As I look towards transition to civilian sector I’m considering increasing tech experience to diversify my career and provide better options. Full of soft skills and management experience, but few tangibles. I’ve explored Trailhead, but I’m not sure system admin is right path. Any suggestions? 2+ years until transition. Possess a Masters in Leadership and SPHR cert.
Flying out of ORD mostly. Is United the better option? Delta seems to have pretty decent options too. No more American.
I'm starting an independent consultancy in which I advise on racial, socioeconomic, and diversity initiatives. My monetization model: the advice is compulsory and the rates are totally unreasonable.
What are some good online courses to learn data structures and algorithms? I mainly know Python and R. Ideally, it would be in those languages.
Hi.. I applied for an opportunity in UBS which I saw in Linkedin around 10-12 days back and I did receive a kind of automated email for online assessment. I took the assessment but post that I didn't hear anything. I see that job in linkedin is still accepting applications. What shall I conclude from this? Is my profile not shortlisted for interview or they usually took many applications and then decide who shall be called for interview? What is the approach?
How do you manage your stress? I find myself worrying about work while I’m with friends or family. What do you do?
Ever feel like you're losing your touch? I've always had a firm grasp on English and grammar rules, but I feel like it's slowly slipping. I might be too much in my own head. If so, what do you do?
How do you stand out as an associate when you’ve got 3-4 other associates at the same level as you and there’s simply not enough quality work to go around? I think the team may be over-resourced at the junior level which means the quality of work has been very inconsistent. Sometimes the partner will ask me to draft the key documents on a matter, other times I’m pretty much doing administrative work. The peaks and troughs in quality work appear to last 2-3 months. Hey all, I’ve recently joined EY consulting from another Big 4 and have noticed there’s no discipline (at least in my team) around codes and charging time. People either charge a standard 7 hrs or some will charge time spent on internal activities to their client code. I was told that “the last person to charge their actual hours worked was promptly booted off the project”. Just wondering: 1) Is this a general cultural point accross all Consulting teams? Will challengin this get me in trouble?
I think key to retention today is Work Life Balance and firm's culture (barring exceptions). If an employee is treated as an equal partner (ofcors without equity😉), s(he) wont start looking out in the first place. While all seem to be talking of promoting this, very few practice. I dont think am going to ever leave Google just for sake of higher compensation. #views are personal and situational.
Have been hunting desperately for childcare bc spouse and I are both FT lawyers trying to handle 4 immunocompromised elementary age kids at home but have been striking out. Have even been considering having one of us take a leave, going part time (career suicide/knock us off partner track) or quitting. Just found someone highly recommended, experienced, patient, etc. Interview went super well but candidate disclosed they are in recovery for substance abuse, last relapse 2 yrs ago. DUI. Thoughts?
