I would suggest checking your shoes - you may need a new pair.
Do you have the right kind of running shoes ? Best to get at a running store like sports basements.
Best to take rest for a few days to a wk.
walking at minimum.
Wear tennis shoes throughout the day for several days.
Use ice in the foot - frozen water bottle works well.
May be the Hoka’s don’t work well for you or the specific model of Hoka is not right.
I had a similar issue a few months ago when I had bought a Sochony shoe. I tried ASICS and I had various pain issues as well. For me Hokas and Brooks work well.
Some brands just make shoes a certain way that may not work well for you. At the end of the day it’s the brand and style of shoe.
Changes are if you bought the shoe recently and started running in them, they may be causing you the issues.
Try running in a different shoe for a week or so and see how you feel.

Definitely see a podiatrist or ortho about the pain ?
does it get better when you move or worse ?
do you swim ? does biking exacerbate the pain ? those are good places to start.
The pain isn’t grueling, more of nagging so I haven’t gone in to see someone. In the past I’ve done ice baths & massaged it and it got better (other ankle). Thats been my starting point here...may be foolish lol
I do some biking / spinning, will probably just roll with that - thank you!!
You could try jumping rope (unless that would hit the same spot). I have chronic sesamoiditis and for some reason running kills me but the jumping rope is perfectly fine. Gets the heart rate up and makes great calves!
