Are Texas fans worried about Bama tomorrow?
Stay home. No one wants to get sick.
Bring the flu to that office and you will truly know passive aggressive hatred
Stay home, do what you can, and always remember this is a marathon, not a sprint - your health should be your top priority because the less you address it, the longer it’ll take to get back to 100%
Have you or a loved one recently visited Wuhan, China?
Triple the reason to work from home
Stay home!! It is flu season, they will understand. Feel better!
Update - I stayed home and they were understanding.
Work from home!!!
I will say this is not always that simple, especially if you are around small children constantly and have many bad colds throughout the year. I agree the flu is different. But let’s not forget the real pressure put on (especially) young/new associates to be present. Not everyone will know you’re sick, so some of them may jump to the conclusion that you’re taking a vacation, whatever. And don’t try and say oh that doesn’t happen. people notice when you are there and when you’re not and you can’t stay home every single time you have the sniffles. That culture needs to change as its very toxic.
Every other person is getting sick (flu, etc.). They will understand.
Please stay home. You dont know if others in the office are immunocompromised or live with or care for someone who is.
Don’t boomerang your work. If you can’t get it done then say so.
Flu is serious business. Just take one for the team and be miserable on your couch at home.
Stay home. Work from there to the extent you can. Talk to the people you are working for.
Home. Value YOURSELF. You are worthy.
I have the flu as well, and was diagnosed at midnight on Monday. Until the doctor told me to stay home for the rest of the week, I was adamant about going into work because of guilt/anxiety. I worked from home, and informed a few of the partners I work for about my illness and how they can reach me. The partners were grateful I didn’t come into work, but still happy to see my emails flying around. As long as you are still billing, I don’t think they care (well at least at my firm AM125).
Stay home! I’m a new associate at my job and got sick during the second month of joining my firm. Everyone freaked out that I showed up for work. Trust me, they’ll understand. No one wants to get sick
Fuck em. Stay home - feel better
You need to go in right away and tell everyone in person you have the flu then hang around the coffee area for a bit. They will respect you.
