Make $120k Accenture now doing tech implementations, just got offer 200k TC EY business consulting. I love my job, have a great WLB (working 20 hours per week, no travel, clear path to M in about 1.5 years) - am I an idiot for even contemplating staying? What I would be doing is more PPT/functional vs Onestream/technical which I do now.
Happy Monday fishies!!! Looking forward to a great week 💃🏼 Three job interviews, one asessment, and one is renegotiating a salary counter offer……I’m a bit nervous but feel confident and in control. I don’t feel like this often so I am going to embrace it 🤗 keep you posted! IQVIA and Syneos Health

Personally, I would choose Canada. Your income will go a lot further and there will be more opportunity to save and invest, even while having a higher standard of living.
Only 1 year? Definitely London! Absorb the culture and different way of working. I’ve always respected seniors with global experience far more than lifers in one city/firm.
65k is amazing for 3YOE. It takes a B4 about 6 years (manager at Deloitte) to reach that. And yes it does go far 😊 the after work drinks culture in the city is amazing here if you’re into that.
How much is EY for 3 YOE experienced hire?
London
I'd recommend living Vancouver if you like nature or Montreal if you want to increase your savings. Montreal is very fun and has a lot of culture. Winter is brutal though but I'm sure you have an idea given you're in NY. Toronto is expensive and is just another city.
London is great for a short period but if you are going to spend more than 12 months in the above locations, choose Canada. You'll get sick of Canada less.
Source: I'm Canadian and have lived in Toronto, Montreal, and London.
I’d suggest Canada, especially if you plan to boomerang back to US.
Montreal Canada
Montreal is a very fun city and very diverse. Watch out for the cold though! Winters there are no joke
montreal, its amazing

Vancouver!!
I love my Montreal guys I can’t leave. Thank goodness we are still remote as my base is currently elsewhere.
Where are you from? Where will your MBA be? Where do you want to live/work post-MBA?
As an American, I'd pick London to get some different experience, assuming that Canada is similar to the USA. But for all I know, you could be a British citizen who will be at Oxford.
I typically hear that Canada gives out visas more easily than the UK, so maybe work in Canada so if you want a visa there in the future, you already have a local track record, work history, bank accounts and whatever else set up. The local work history will also make it easier to get a job there post-mba.
Also staying in NYC is out of the question because I will get kicked out of the US due to visa issue.
Which company do you work for? I think you're in a great position as they are converting your salary to cad in Toronto
Wow thanks everyone for chiming in. The overwhelming leaning towards Montreal kinda surprised me, I was expecting people to be more in favor of London. I’m from Asia so London and Canada are both favorable to me, London more so because of the “big city vibe” I’ve been used to in NY. As a side question, for dating, would Montreal or London have a more vibrant scene (I know Vancouver has a huge Asian presence but sounds like it’s overshadowed by Montreal from a quality of life perspective).
Yeah my brother went to McGill andi used to go visit him. It was school for models compared to my 80% male tech university
Toronto is awesome. I would go there over London
Have lived in London, and tbh 65k gbp won’t allow you to live super comfortably, but if your doing it for one year and know for sure, def go for it. I also did my undergrad in Montreal, and it is by far one of the best cities to be in as a student. But for career life it’s a very, very different scene. Both Vancouver and Toronto are significantly more expensive in terms of cost of living compared to Montreal, but you will have a much higher quality of life. You can def live comfortably with125k in Vancouver and Toronto. Winter in Montreal is extremely brutal, versus Vancouver which is amazing pretty much year round. Basically your options are:
1. Live like a king in Montreal with all the students but prepare for extreme cold for the majority of the year.
2. Live comfortably in Vancouver/Toronto.
3. Live probably on a budget in London Town.
