Probably more than would caught you slack on typos and misspellings
If you are a copywriter, start small. Fix this post. Then move on to reworking your book.
I wouldn’t worry too much about it, as long as your work expresses the (good) idea clearly. Any creative director who thinks differently is a hack
I think it’s important that it looks good. 1. It shows you can work together with an art director 2. It shows you know what good art direction is. Both are important for a copywriter. But maybe you’d get cut some slack if you are intern level.
It would be great if you could partner with an AD to work with but I would definitely cut (not caught) you slack on the art, as would others I would hope. Just make sure your ideas and copy are tight
I’m always happy to critique a book... dm? Also, see what you did there

Cut. Not caught. CUT you some slack. That’s what everyone is saying, Android, iPhone or rotary dial phone...if you’re a writer, don’t have even basic grammar messes or typos like this. And I don’t think anyone should be overly judgmental about the design of your website; as a writer just have the ideas clearly presented and easy to navigate and you should be fine. But it should at least look professional.
yikes
I think it depends on who’s looking at it. My student book had pretty bad art direction and when I interviewed with CW CD it was fine but most art directors couldn’t look past it
