One of my best friends is going through this. They broke up three times over the course of 5 years, then finally got married last summer. I was against the marriage (even though I love them both) because of their constant back and forth. She convinced me they were over that (therapy, worked out all the factors that contributed to the break ups, etc.) and fully were committed before the wedding, so I jumped in with my full support. And now, just shy of their one year anniversary they’re talking the D word. Breaks my heart... I don’t think that behavior can be fixed. Either you’re committed and good together, or your not. I wish they’d just stayed committed friends...

like

Nope. There's a reason why you're taking said breaks, and people are mostly unlikely to change, which means the problem(s) aren't likely to go away. I'd save your energy and time and move on.

like

No. If a relationship needs that much work now, how can it last through a marriage? Remember, never settle for less and don’t ever convince someone to be with you

like

Nope. Had an on off relation with someone for 5 years. Should have wasted that much time. Leave early while you can.

Just a rant on how absolutely stupid the bar is. The fact that I’ve been a well-regarded attorney for many years now but just because I moved states, I need to provide references for every random volunteer position I had going back to college, plus need 8 personal references who can’t overlap with employment references, all just to be authorized to keep practicing law at the exact same law firm I’ve been at for years, is absolutely insane. Not to mention the fees are over a thousand dollars.

I haven’t involved my mom in wedding planning much because she stresses me out. But today, I took her to my dress alterations appointment and she left pissed because I didn’t let her take pictures. What is a useful, comprehensive but not too long of a book for parenting toddlers?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. I’d like to be more proactive about toddler psychology, what’s to come and how to react/ teach. TY!

How's the leave policy in Pwc AC Bangalore? I joined here recently and I'm not sure on what basis the leaves are added. In my previous organisation for every month it automatically adds 15 hours (1.5 days) of leave every month and the maximum leaves eligible was 30 days. And I got 7 days sick leave on top of that from every September. So could someone let me know how it works in @pwc ac Bangalore?

Hi all - facing a dilemma. Dating a guy (1 yr+) who is lovely in many ways - sweet, caring, thoughtful, close to his family, smart, and we get along really well. However, he’s not my typical physical type - I wanted to look past this (previous relationships where I thought guy was really hot didn’t work). Lately it’s been hard - don’t feel as physically attracted / think sex life is not great (even though I try to I don’t feel v into it). Anyone have thoughts on how to navigate this situation?

Hi ladies! I would appreciate life advice if anyone has any: I have a great partner who wants to be a dad, and this is a make or break for him. I was never sure I wanted to be a mom and the reason is because I would only have kids with a partner that picks 50% of the burden (especially in terms of time, since I put my 50% share of money) and take turns on whose career comes first. He says he’s open to an equal marriage, but I just don’t see this happening in the day to day. Tired of words…
