PwC. Men got all the good projects. All the women in the group quit (8+ ladies over 1.5 years out of a group of ~30).
I’m sorry this happened to you.

When I was a first year associate, I requested to be promoted to partner Bc I am so awesome. They refused.
Your comment is in very poor taste. This issue is very real for some of us. It seems you haven’t faced it ever - good for you. But don’t make light of the issue for the rest of us. Have a wonderful day.
Yes. EY. It’s confidential but let’s just say my senior is a racist & sexist. And he’s still with the firm. All he got was a warning. Guess they just don’t really give a flying shit about staff
I’m sorry this happened to you.
Yes. EY. Racist comments about me, people not talking to me intentionally, my English (I have an accent bc it’s my second language), my ability of reading or writing emails, it was a mess and nothing was done about it.
It's a good thing you don't get to decide what is or isn't a valid question.
I understand 100% what they went through. I lived in a foreign country that didn't speak my language. I could understand everything everyone was saying about me, but had no way to respond. And even when I became fluent in the language, people would stare at me as though I wasn't even speaking the same language, simply because I looked different and had a different accent. I would look at my partner and they would just look at me and shrug because they could understand me.
I get it, so don't say my question is invalid when I lived a similar experience. The question was genuine. There's a big difference between constructive feed back taken the wrong way, and, blatant racism.
OP, thank you for responding yourself with additional specifications. I'm sorry you experienced that.
Told by partner his leadership team is already too white, not considering promotions for anyone that makes his diversity numbers worse.

Yuck. Did you report or file a complaint? This is just so wrong.
When I was at EY - one of the reasons I left. I have a slight accent and was asked by the firm to take accent correction classes - it is an established program sponsored by EY so I am assuming there are others it is offered to as well. I found it very racist and non-inclusive. Next would they offer plastic surgery to people who don’t look a certain way?
Are you asian out of curiosity?
Jesus half these people from EY
Yes I’m not surprised at all. Says a lot about how things are handled at EY
Yes. Rolled off of a project right before a milestone because I didn’t drink. I was replaced with someone who has a reputation for partying. I mean I get it but it still sucked.
The partner wanted someone on the project that drank, and thus would be better for client entertainment. I don’t drink so I was rolled off the project. I was pretty explicitly told after the fact off the record.
Yes. As a new staff at EY nearly my entire team (including my SM) would descriminate against me for my religious beliefs.

I'd say its team specific and not a culture thing. I've worked on teams with Mormons, Christians, Muslims, Hindus etc. No issues at all
Yes as a woman.
I’m sorry this happened to you.
Yes, due to age. I’m female and in my second career. I was told to give my very aggressive Senior another chance because he’s young and learning. When I say aggressive, I’m speaking of feeling like bodily harm could be done. I feel as though it was tolerated because we are the same race. Instead of keeping us separate, he continues to get put on Engagements I’m on. Still gives me anxiety, yet, I’m expected to get past it. Seriously considering a therapist.
I’m sorry this happened to you.
In an office with all women, so I was the only one not invited to the woman’s lunch.
That used to happen to me at KPMG but opposite gender situation. That really sucks. If it happens again, maybe bring it up with your CA?
I wasn’t discriminated against individually but I was the only woman on my first team. Got along with everyone really well and enjoyed it but my manager did say in front of the entire team how lucky I was that I was the only woman bc all they do is cry during busy season. (I did not cry - just to clarify haha)
WOW
Yes, as someone on visa. For two years in a row every little review note warranted to have a pip conversation with me. Another time I was pulled off of the engagement (which I joined halfway as a key team member quit) because of being the only non -US team member despite having great reviews. They brought another US person at my rank.
