Have you ever bought lessons on TPT or another platform? Was it worth it?

Combining finances with new husband, moving everything to joint checking. What, if anything, should I/we keep routing to our personal checking? We discussed a small amt for discretionary spending/gifts, but would love any lessons learned.

This week has been a good lesson in the dangers of market timing and panic selling.

Have any of you ladies started taking dance/ballet lessons or any other hobby later in life than most? I took dance lessons for about 6 years when I was younger and was on a few teams at various studios but I haven’t done it in over a decade. I’m 24 now and there’s a ballet studio that offers lessons for adults and I was considering starting again but for some reason I feel a little silly. Most dancers have consistent years under their belts & this would just be for fun but still.

I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend, but now I'm paying for it... lesson planning tonight. Anyone else? I think I'll feel better just knowing I'm not alone.

I’ve been burned by the stock market before trading options (when the market bottomed out in 2016) and I learned my lesson on recklessly speculating on spikes and dips in the market. In the office today, NY biglaw factory. Somewhere, echoing down the halls of my floor, is someone hacking away with a terrible cough for the last hour. Sigh….almost two years of a pandemic and we apparently still haven’t learned the simplest lesson to stay home when sick….this is why biglaw can’t have nice things!

Moving into my first house. What are the lessons ,tricks and tips for first timers. What would you have done better when you started living in New home. Have ton of items on shopping list. Any seasonal tips. Its a brand new townhouse so not worried about maintenance emergencies but who knows. What about furniture shopping?

Those of you who have moved abroad for a job, how long was your relocation clawback clause?

Currently living in Houston with 62k total salary as an architectural designer. Got an offer in Denver for an entry level project manager position for 86k base salary. According to Glassdoor their average pay for that position is 98k base salary. Is it reasonable to ask to be in the low 90’s and is higher cost of living and inflation a good reason to back it up? Of course work experience will also be added as reason.
