Have you ever had a gap in your employment record? Was it ever brought up in an interview and did you have to explain what you did in that gap? I don't see the need to know what happened in a gap or disclose that information. As someone who has interviewed people and been interviewed I would say show the value of your skillsets and what contributions you've made in each role and discuss what you will do if hired for said role.

So I’m currently entering the 4th and final round of an interview process for a sales role.. The final round entails a sales pitch presentation where I present either a topic or product that I can confidently convey a persuasive message about.

The actual topic isn’t what’s important as it’s more about then actual skills show cased.. I’m currently struggling to decide on an easy topic that would suit well - between the topic and then any other words of advise I can use some tips for this !!

Anybody else feel unworthy of this career? When it comes to stack rankings I’m generally in the top 50% of reps at companies I’ve worked for. On good years I’ll get into top 20%.

It seems every sales job posting is looking for people who have blown out their number every single year. I just don’t see how this is even possible, I’ve worked plenty of places where they gave us an unachievable target so nobody hit their number in a given year.

Coming with 8 years of international sales, account management & shopper marketing experience, I’m getting Retail Associate/Sales Associate offers by CPG companies with as low as $18/hr and $0.46 per km fuel.

While I think it’s a great opportunity to learn about the Canadian market as a new resident, it would break my bank and I would have to buy the car for this roles while living in Midtown Toronto. It doesn’t make financial sense to me.
