Have you ever known of an intern who didn't get a full time offer? Why didn't they? I always see more interns who don't deserve offers but everyone almost always gets one

We had an intern not get an offer because he took naps in the handicapped bathroom and showed up drunk to our volunteer day

The intern on my team called in "sick" on her last day with all her work on her computer without being replicated...said she didn't have internet to replicate. Needed to do three days of work overnight for a filing deadline...partner left her a voicemail not to come back

3.0? Raise the bar EY

They usually tell them upfront what grade point average they need to keep

We have an intern that got a full time offer before her internship was up. Results of the internship was her teams did not want her back. Now my team has her. Currently dealing with that.

I interned at PwC NYC and I didnt get an offer

Had two interns in my class not get an offer. Unsure of one, but the other was always missing work and ordering beers on their lunch break

We had an intern that didn't make high enough grades for the short minimester and following semester of the internship and had his offer revoked.

Ey3 - What are "high enough grades"?

I'm not sure exactly. Maybe below a 3.0. Sorry!

Again, I have no idea.

They have different GPA requirements for different schools.

I've always heard EY requires a 3.5

EY is a 3.5 to be considered.

We had an intern this past summer who, when asked the classic question "how is your internship going," would tell everybody "good but not sure it's what I want to do full time." And by everybody, staff, seniors, managers, not like their counselor who is probably the only person you can actually say that to, so the firm was like, welp we better not give him an offer before he says that to the client.

Just had a company offer 1099 payment but they require an LLC. I don’t have one — and it hasn’t stopped me from getting on a 1099 before. Do you all 1099 workers all have LLCs? Are there any tips to pushing them to get it for me or is this just a matter of policy?

Now taking bets on if I can stay off of the internet long enough to avoid Supernatural series finale spoilers until I my friends watch party tomorrow.

What I’m continuing to learn is that knowledge truly is power. White folks hoard knowledge within their circles, rewarding themselves for the goals they manufacture and punish us for not knowing what we don’t know. This is to say, you not knowing what you don’t know isn’t your fault. Keep pushing and looking for folks who are willing to share information. Knowledge is power.
