Hello,
Last Wednesday I was able to get a Deloitte job referral, I applied the next day. Yesterday I signed in to my account and it shows that I applied for the job but when I click on the link it show me an error page. I searched for the job on the website itself and it disappeared. There were like multiple positions but different locations, now they’re all expired. What does this mean? Did they choose a candidate already? It’s weird it never happened to me before
Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

Why internal audit roles pay so poorly? :(

Yup - DoorDash. Also some boutique consulting firms. After the first round of interviews I decided it was no longer worth the effort based on the vibes I got from interviewers and me learning more.
The interview process is a two way street - companies evaluating you and you evaluating them. At any point, both parties can and should feel free to withdraw from the process for whatever reason.
^word. this happened to me twice. i didn’t bother with the first company bc i didn’t think the company was gonna be a fit. but gave it my best with the second company. and i’m happy i did :)
Yes, i backed out of Slalom. I was very hesitant to do so and my husband tried convincing me it’ll look bad but I decided it was not worth my time and energy to stress over the interview if I was not excited about the role and may end up declining an offer anyways.
Your time and energy is better spent on the interviews for opportunities that you’re really excited about and really want!
Oh yeah many times. Celonis & Lyft to name a few
Did this with Capitol One. Hated the online assessment (reinforced their values / leadership styles organizationally weren’t aligned with mine) and didn’t want to do the case so I withdrew.
a2 - they offered me way more than what i was making at accenture lol 115 vs 196
bah1 - just random puzzles and logic sentences (from what i remember) nothing too wild. i don’t even think you need to ace it. you just can’t be bombing it

Yes… postman
I saw the case study and didn’t even attempted to work on it
I did too. Was interviewing for a non-profit organization and they had an extremely lengthy process (case study - ppt + word doc) for M level role . Didn’t find it worth and politely refused on continuing the process any further.
Oh yea. Comp was already low and I didn’t like how an assessment was never mentioned once in the process and they sent across a case study Monday afternoon and said “this is due.”
I sent a lovely withdrawal email, and never heard back. Oh well!
I also had a friend speak up after a ridiculous amount of rounds and assessments (8+). She withdrew and they came back with an apology and a big offer.
