I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

I have no regrets, on the contrary. It seems to me that the experience that you can get in this position is very helpful, of course it implies a greater effort but in my opinion it is worth it.
Yes, I have regretted taking the promotion. The pay increase is tempting but it's come at the cost of having less time to do the work that I love. In the end, I value work-life balance a bit more than a high salary.
No, I have never regretted taking a manager role. The pay increase was definitely tempting but what I was really excited for was to take on new challenges and grow my skills.
I have not regretted taking a manager role; however, I have regretted being a manager at times. It can be challenging to juggle the various responsibilities and meet the expectations of others, but it is also very rewarding.
I think it depends on each person, in my case I prefer to be more relaxed doing my job than being in charge of supervising other people's work.
No regrets, it was intimidating and uncomfortable at first but it's opened doors for me that I never would've imagined. You can always go back if it's not for you ;)
Who knows, you might end up loving your new job even more! What's the worst that could really happen?
Just do it, at the very least it'll be a great learning opportunity and you'll discover a lot about yourself as a person through the new role and expectations
Yup, it was most certainly not for me and I tried to get out as soon as I could. Managing is just not my cup of tea but I never would've found that out had I not tried it
Trial and error. Try the role and see what you think. It's how we do things, no?
I regretted it right up until that first paycheck, then I realized it wasn't all so bad haha
