Have you made the transition to a different teaching job mid-year? Any tips for coming into a new classroom part way through the year?

treat it like the beginning of the year. Rules and procedures first. Build report over anything else.

Recommendation : talk to each student and parent on where they are, strengths and goals for year. Ask about their dreams .. This will create start of relationship and you learning critical information and identify common trends in class and parents

Rules and expectations for the first week. I started 3 months after the year started. If I didn’t take the week to get to know the students and build rapor with them then I would’ve been a hot mess. They’re already used to a different teacher so you have to tell them how you’re going to be doing things from here on out.

My husband, therapist and doctor are convinced I need to reduce my workload to get pregnant. My husband is trying to convince me to talk to the partners I work with and explain I’m really stressed and need to work less. Any tips on how to do this? Although I’m a top biller in my group, I’ve only billed less than 2200 hours a year so I still feel weird telling them. That being said, my stress is definitely having serious mental and physical effects on me.

I recently joined JPMc Blr in risk CCB and contrary to all the good reviews of wlb in JPMc my wlb is Shit. Just joined 45 days back and on most if the days I am working till 12 or 1 in the night. Most of the work that I do is creating 'urgent ' dashboards on excel. Since I do not get enough sleep, most of the days I have pain in my head. My work is only going to increase in future, already thinking to switch. Only problem is I will have to repay relocation money which is 2L. What should I do?
