AMEX Platinum: Just saying thanks to all the tips y’all share in here. I was able to get a $500 statement credit (other option was 50K pts). Just call and ask to be transfer to retention services and explain politely that the annual fee isn’t justified due to COVID and lack of work travel! I also cancelled my Clear membership and got that pro rated refund too (or keep it and get 2 months free).

For me i have to leave my parents, hometown and travel 2000kms to Bangalore for joining office how it is hybrid for me ? I still worry about myself and family health not sure about COVID. Also most of my team sits in Hyderabad few are in Bangalore .office should be optional. Indeed we were able to work in past 2 years right ? Then why force people to office ?

My daughter is turning 17 in October and has been trying to figure out her path after high school. As expected, she’s changed her mind several times and I expect it to change several more. I mentioned to her this morning that the military would be a great option and she showed a lot of interest. We live in a very rural southeastern town and we’ve done our best to ensure she has an open mind, but I think the military would give her the opportunity to travel and experience other cultures. I’ve seen some post with folks claiming that they have $300K to $500K saved up and are between the age of 24-27.. how is this true? Tell the true story. “I still live at home and parents cover my expenses and I didn’t have student loans?” $84K (before taxes) is the average pay for Management consultants in the US (Glassdoor). Please share how you’re saving up your whole salary year after year or have multiple jobs while delivering quality work for your current employer.
