Hey all! I’m an aspirating entrepreneur building a chrome budgeting extension (similar to honey, except we show you your personal finances instead of coupons, so you can make informed shopping decisions). We have a 10 minute survey testing our wireframes. I’d really appreciate if folks here could take it. We’ll pay you for taking it as well :) Please check out the survey at Okane-App.com! Thanks again

Best office chair? My back is so angry with me.
Don’t 👏 try 👏 to👏 time👏 the👏 market. If you could accurately predict the market you sure as hell wouldn’t be working at Accenture. Keep investing. Dollar cost averaging will work out better in the end than trying to time.
Honestly, I'd pull all the money out of the 401k and put it into bitcoin. You don't need a 401k or a retirement. That's only holding you back. Bitcoin is the future.
It's not about what's responsible. It's about what's fun.
"Time in the market beats timing the market"
I'd wait to see where the market goes in the short term... but when the recession officially starts, invest slowly to Dollar cost average.
You literally will have no idea when the recession will hit. You could be missing out on major gains that will never go back down to levels where you were when you pulled the money out.
If you’ve been investing in the stock market in retirement accounts you haven’t been missing out - you’ve been participating.
I rolled over my 401k into an IRA but have been reinvesting somehwat slowly the last few months. Dollar cost averaging works best, but the we’re in very choppy waters right now.
Personally I’d rather try to catch a potential bear market and get the S&P at a nice discount than worry about missing a couple percentage points of upside until I get back in
To clarify, did you rollover into a traditional IRA? I want to rollover my regular 401k into my Roth IRA but without having to pay any penalties
Are you investing the full 19k in your 401k? If not start there.
I just put my money in a brokerage account / mutual fund and call it a day. Potential earnings aren’t worth the hours put into following the markets, reporting investments, etc
The first “good job” I’ve heard all day :’) thank you kind soul
don’t be dumb like me. Pulled some $ out of the market into cash in 2010 and was sure it would tank again and I could get back in. Well it hasn’t happened. Started auto investing it back in monthly starting in 2017. still kicking myself.
