Having a call today with a life insurance person. I’ve asked for quotes for me and my wife for a 20 year term and some long term care riders. We have a newborn. Any fish out there have anything else?

Or is a 20 year term plus long term care rider sufficient for most folks?

get your will, power of attorney and medical directives done as well as consider a living trust for your child

Thanks. This seems opposite to everything we’ve been told. I was told to lock in term now since we’re young, and then add whole as we start to accumulate more wealth

My firm is a boutique financial services and insurance brokerage and I have life and health license and have been doing its program management and associate trainings. Pls feel free to ask any questions based on ur background I can try to provide unbiased feedback for u

Do I really need all these fancy vehicles like whole life and long term care, or am I good with just a 20 year term for me and my wife

Which health insurance plan do you recommend for pregnancy and maternity care? Looking for switching during current open enrollment . From the Deloitte sponsored plans, narrowed down to these 3 - Anthem Bluecard PPO, Aetna Select, UHC PPO. I am currently enrolled for Anthem Bluecard PPO and looking for other best options, if any. Also, if I get pregnant in December and switch to any other from Jan, will that works or the new insurance provider might raise a concern to cover the expenses? TIA!

I’m the one whose ex won’t pay for college - and I have an update. My ex texted me today that he and his wife are buying our son a car (!!) for Christmas. On the one hand, it’s one less expense for me. On the other hand, my ex won’t pay for college and he owes me at least $10K for previous medical expenses, but he can find money for a car - which is a “fun” expense that will get him brownie points with our son. Whatever - my son benefits, but talk about a “Disneyland Dad.” Ugh.

Hello fellow teachers. It’s my second year teaching and I’ve begun to get my pace in the classroom with discipline except one student. She doesn’t do her work and when my coteacher and I walk around, she doesn’t accept help (for example, she will sit looking at her blank work so when we go over to ask her how should she start the problem or can we read it to understand, she’ll pull away her chromebook and annoyingly says I don’t need help. This student currently has a 0% in math because of this.
