Hi Folks, I submitted documents 2 weeks ago for BGV in Tech Mahindra. I have not got any response so far from HR. However, last week they scheduled another interview and dropped me email just before 15 mins, yet i joined the interview but no one joined from their end. Now, HR is not responding. What should I understand from this case? Am I rejected? Tech Mahindra Tata Consultancy

Jumping in before common sense prevails: I don’t do anything. If it’s your dream agency, you’re already prepared. Delivering canned talking points detracts from your natural POV, which is what made you attractive to them in the first place. Doing extensive research will only make you want to regurgitate some gratuitous nugget, which leads to point A. Plus it’ll make you more nervous. Don’t do shit.
This. But know what accounts they have (that specific office, not just the agency overall)
be yourself. you want to come off as both qualified and interesting. have your story - infused with the unique lens you bring to your work via all the things that make you YOU - ready to go. keep it conversational, show your humanity, and have fun.
Some solid homework. Agency details, when it was founded, who leadership is, accounts they have, prominent work. If you know the client, details on their current work, business problem, competitors, etc. Then of course, a quick cheat sheet on yourself. Years experience, different accounts you’ve worked on, why you’re a good fit, tactful reason for why you’re looking.
It never hurts to be prepared. Know your story. Chances are, they’ll ask you to tell them about yourself. It’s a big open question. So, I suggest you talk about what you’re currently doing. I would also make your answers succinct and thoughtful. Good luck! I’m sure you’ll do great!

I review my past projects, and make sure I have a handful of stories to reference for anything they might ask.
Thanks everyone. It went well. Heeded the "don't do shit to prepare" advice and I think it worked out. Now to sit and stare at my inbox for the next 6 months wondering what went wrong...

Niceeee
Have a decent knowledge and point of view on the work they're currently doing. Be ready to talk about work you like and don't in the industry at large. They're looking to see how you'd fit in creatively and what kind of work you'd do for them. Also, most importantly, don't just talk about ads! Your taste in music, art, pop culture, etc are just as (or more) important in a creative role.
Hmmm, it depends. What city??
