However the person they hired in my place didn’t do handover at all with me, like not even one question!
Do I have to answer them, they’re actually annoying me with the back and forth questions!

Who else feels like they could get used to this lifestyle???? I feel like I've been prepping for social distancing my whole life! For real, though.
More proof that the vaccines are political - two days ago, the research showed increased efficacy from getting Moderna booster was too insignificant to advise for or against; yesterday it was recommended for adults over 65 or immunocompromised. As someone actually looking for real insight on whether or not to get the booster, this is beyond frustrating.

Is it okay to packup your staff and leave the house to stay with a friend after a huge fight? Especially if you have fought over the same issue in the past with no resolution. He refuses to come to marriage counseling and I don’t know what to do.
Are there any books or gifts that are good for moms that are expecting their first baby?
Thoughts on wearing sleeveless tops/dresses? It’s getting hot in DC but I’m always worried it’d be unprofessional. Of course thinking tanks with a high neck and wide on the shoulder
Starting a new job at a big firm (Canada) on Monday and need a little wardrobe refresh (I say “need” because all my suits are nervous sweated out and I want to forget those early years.)
I’ve reviewed all the posts on the shoe debate and am hoping to narrow this down. Any ladies, who love high heels, regret their Louboutin purchase? Looking at 85mm but would probably be as comfortable as someone can be in 100mm.
My other shoes will be practical but I want a power shoe.
Does anyone have a portfolio/padfolio they love? I’m still using the one I bought at the law school bookstore, and it’s looking pretty worn out.
“Post-pandemic,” I am feeling like dressing in monotone or color blocking. All of the prints and frills on my professional clothing feels like A LOT. I am also looking for clothing that is low maintenance (can throw in washer and dryer and don’t have to iron much). I have been an Express shopper for a long time and I think I could piece together such a wardrobe there, but wondering if there are other brands I should consider… TIA!
Boyfriend graduating from police academy soon, would like to get a memorable gift. Any ideas or anything that you’ve gotten a significant other for a graduation type event?
Non-law question: Has anyone invested in an at-home exercise bike/treadmilll/elliptical during all of this? Do you use it?
I’d really love an exercise bike (I’ve basically quit working out because I’m tired of videos) but I’d hate to spend the money and have it sit there after 6 months. For reference, I’m looking at something about half the price of a Peloton.
I made a wrong judgment call and partner is upset with me. He now won't talk to me, acts like I don't exist and ignores me. To the extent that he replies to unimportant matter management emails I usually reply on behalf of him. How should I respond?
I am ready to apologise and do better if he is willing to have a calm conversation about it. But I am very pissed and lost my respect to him because of how he acts now. Should I still have the talk once he calms down?
Hi i created this bowl for anyone interested in advancing each other’s and your own career! Let’s break the glass ceiling together!
This career makes me incredibly anxious and I think I need a therapist. I’ve never been in therapy before and I’m not really sure where/how to pick a therapist. Any suggestions or helpful tips? Thank you!!
The women on my team have all worked 7 days a week since early March; the men are all MIA on weekends. We‘re so busy that without us working weekends, there’s no way we’d keep up with our workload.
I’m going to be facilitating a marketing brown bag series via zoom for our associates. What topics do you think would be helpful? This is about marketing your individual brand and growing your business as well as firm-wide branding.
Hi everyone. I’m planning to take family leave to care for a family member (starting at one day a week). What do you think the repercussions will be for my career?
I had a mutual gf give my number to a friend who was asking for it. He hasn’t reached out, what’s a normal response time
I am a 46 year old attorney. My live-in partner of 6 years is a 51 year old non-attorney. He works hard from 8 - 5:30/6:00 and then is done for the day. I have to log back on after dinner; he does not. I have kids who live with me 1/2 the time; he does not have kids. I cook all of our meals (except for those that are take out) and generally do the post-meal cleanup. I have asked him to help with this, and he has gone so far as to put away food, but when it comes to…cont in comments…
Exciting news but also need some guidance-- after many many months of looking I received an offer from a small firm. Seems like a great opportunity ex big law folks, in my practice area, no billable requirement, culture embraces remote work, appearance of forward thinking firm. At last firm I was making around 140k (underpaid for market), offer letter is 85k and potential bump to 100kish after a certaib period. Do I bother trying to negotiateor just accept and leave money alone?
I'm having trouble with virtual networking. I'm still 100% WFH. I'm not here to debate or justify that situation. But my industry is construction law, which has been continuing. So construction company execs aren't necessarily working from home. I've done some webinars and some zoom meetings. But the response has been mostly from current clients. How can I reach out to new companies virtually for zoom coffees and such without being an annoying salesperson?
Can we start a Britney Spears thread? Any thoughts on ways she can get out of her conservatorship? I looked up the judge and she’s a bad egg, and I really don’t think Britney’s chances are high with her awful lawyer. I don’t know how Britney can live like this for years to come…. It’s really beyond sad.
How do I cope with ageing? Not looking or feeling the way I used to. Husband finds younger women attractive… which I guess is natural and only going to become more recurring? Not sure how I feel about getting older. Any advice/tips/tricks?
