Having issues getting into FDD. Ive had almost a year of tax experience, almost a year of audit experience and about half a year in accounting advisory. All together just over 2 years in PA. All the feedback has been the same. Not enough experience in audit. Should I go back to audit? Ughhh

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. I am happy with the position and there are good growth opportunities but I wasn't able to negotiate well and I accepted the offer as I was laid off and wanted to start a new role asap.
