Great idea ! Just make sure it’s an area that will always have a rental demand

About 6 months in as an associate in primarily commercial litigation. Have a feel for billable time on some matters, but certain types of motions or discovery requests I have almost no clue the “expected” time for something to be billed. Sometimes the partner will tell me an estimated time, but often they won’t. Is there a “cheat sheet” of sorts anyone has in terms of common billing times? Obviously no two are the same, but even just something to reference

Does having a PMP certification hold any water in digital media? Do folks care? I’ve been using PMI resources to help solve problems / improve stuff at my org, and I’m tempted to get the full cert but I’m not sure if it’d actually mean anything / have a meaningful impact on my career or pay.

It’s not a huge investment in time or money but if it doesn’t have much of an impact I’d rather just keep reading free resources online on my own time

My group has been using form 8453 for years to document e-file authorization from clients. We have recently started investigating form 8879 as an alternative since we don’t need to attach to xml when efiling. Can’t seem to find a reason why we would not be able to take this approach but want to make sure I’m not missing anything. Anyone been using 8879s for this purpose and any reasons why we would not be able to do so?

Hitting 30 and just feel like my life is passing me by and I'm not really living. I went to business school and got my MBA which was the time of my life, ended up at BCG which was the worst time of my life. I now left for industry and work reasonable hours but life just feels empty. I work 9-5 not really caring about my work and feel so tired and low energy in evenings to do anything except work out and watch tv. It just feels like I'm working, sleeping, and just getting older w/o doing anything
