Waited until I was married to get a dog. I had fish beforehand on an auto feeder but that’s probably not what you meant.
Be married before getting a dog (or going into consulting)
Have a dog. Have a traveling wife. We have to have friends and family watch her often. It helps she is the best damn dog there ever was. My wife wanted a second dog and I said no way, no one will watch two dogs. But we straight up have a line waiting to watch our one dog.
I have 2 dogs and believe it or not, it’s so much easier
Cats are so easy because they’re so self-sufficient. I just have an have an automatic feeder/waterer. When I started traveling I got a second cat to keep each other company while I was gone for a few days.
Non traveling roommates come in clutch
I work remote completely not the norm
Following. Would really like to find out before getting one.
I have a dog but also have and live with a non-traveling SO. They keep each other company while I’m gone.
Looks like im going to have to re-home my Husky.
I don’t board my dog 4 nights power week. I asked if they have people who do it and they said yes. My dog goes to day care 5 days a week because I work from home and he’s a distracting puppy. I get a package so it’s cheaper than the daily rate which is $28 in my area. Their boarding rate is $45 a night which includes day care.
I had a dog while my husband and I both traveled. My husband travels a lot less than me. But when we both travel we took our pup to a trusted dog sitter. It adds up but still significantly less than kids :)
