Hi, I’m in the midst of my midlife crisis…how do I survive? The typical I don’t feel like I’m where I should be. I just hate life so much and I’ve been wondering why money comes so easily to everyone around me. My younger sister got a lot money from covid unemployment while going to school and she multiplied that money by 5-6x from dodgecoin. She also was able to pay off student loans with it. My other friends have parents who gave them a headstart in life (house, car, college tuition)…

So much trash medical information out there around covid. Drives me insane

Supervisor said I couldn’t have week off for vacation this summer bc another coworker of higher seniority asked off the same week and two people can’t go on vacation at the same time because of staffing. But this coworker that asked off works different shift than me? He works 1st shift I work second. We have a total of 8 workers and no more than 4 work a day. can easily be covered. This has never been a problem until this year (we got a new supervisor). we’re used to being short staffed anyway

I am a recently naturalized US citizen. I had Global Entry based on my green card and I read that I need to get an appointment to to get my file updated in the GOES/TTP system at an enrollment center. Problem is, I don’t see a way to set up this kind of appointment? Anyone have any experience with this? I saw threads online Pre-COVID where people just walked in but the office closest to me strictly says no to walk-ins.

I had to eat a lot of class years when joining big law. I didn’t go T14, didn’t get a summer job in big law, had to work my way up and finally got here. I’m at a great firm doing the exact work I like doing. Now, all around me, colleagues who graduated with me or after me are getting promoted and I’m still a long ways away. They all deserve it. But I can’t help but feel jealous and angry about the uncertainty ahead of whether I’ll make it there and how long it will take. Can anyone relate?

Will I ever feel capable of reviewing agreements and making substantial comments to them on my own? Second year here who feels like all I’m good for is inputting comments.

What salary would you leave big law for and class year? Would you leave for $150 as a first year? $200 as a third? That sort of thing. I think I'd leave once I snagged anything with a ~$200k base.
