Why are everyone's comments on this app an indictment of others' feelings? I'm on a prolonged busy season engagement with a difficult client and I'm tired, I have 6-8 more weeks to go of extended hours, and I wanted to vent, and I figured better in this forum than outside. Sometimes you just need to yell into the wind. PS. Not every staff is a whiny dipshit bitching about life being unfair. Fuck you very much.
It feels that way as a staff but what you don't realize is that as you move up you have much less time during the day to focus on any one thing, especially in the office.
And that's petty fucked up that you just assume they're lying about their hours unless you have some pretty solid evidence.
^coming from the one who is complaining about it being unfair
Boo fucking who
No one was really talking about remote work
You can't fake work remotely and not get your work done. Most people work from home because it's impossible to get anything done in the office with all the questions and interruptions or it's more efficient than coming back to the office just to have to go home.
Are you not getting your work done?
Are they working from home? How do you know how many hours they're putting in?
Yes, I'm getting my work done. I know he's reporting more hours than I do, but I don't know he is actually working more hours.
If you're getting your work done then don't listen to them. If they're a senior, they've likely earned the right to work less than you. As long as both of you are getting your work done, you should both be less concerned with when the other comes and goes
Yeah I tried to tell you you have a valid point if you weren't being so whiny but you're getting worse and worse
Remote work is all fine and dandy until you realize you have to be present to make the staff and seniors know wtf they are supposed to do
Tax Manager 1, was and OP was too...So if OP is upset because someone who is physically present less than than him/her is supposedly working more, presumably, that person is working remotely, right?
RSM 1 was as well, so, yeah, it wasn't just me...I'm not crazy.
Not really... I'm not convinced
Well I probably am crazy...but yeah I hate people who fake work remotelt
remotely
If he has time to monitor your movements he does not have enough work of his own. Can't stand clock watchers.
OP is doing the same thing though.. hypocritical
