What are everyone’s thoughts on big wage gaps in a couple. My boyfriend makes about 40k now and realistically won’t make more than 70k in his chosen career. I make more than double what he makes now and suspect that wage gap will only keep increasing. Is this anyone else’s situation? I don’t know how to handle as we have more shared expense (ie rent). Splitting payments equally doesn’t seem fair since I’m pushing for a nicer and more expensive place but I also don’t want to make him feel bad.

I was a manager at b4, and moved to a F100 company as an associate for higher pay and different work. My MIL is diagnosed w Uterin cancer stage2 yesterday. My husband lost his only brother and step dad 4 years ago and we are devastated. She just did hysterectomy and recovering from it. She’s in Orlando FL and should I bring her up by us close to NYC and NJ? We lost our step dad bc no one diagnosed his cancer and this left me distrust in medical system in Orlando area.
