Are you at EY or another big 4? I’m seeing lately a lot more people getting promoted at M4 vs M3 at EY
Are you selling or do you think you can sell? Do you have strong network ? Then yes if not work on them first
I have a strong network. I think I can sell but haven’t actually done it yet.
If you haven't shown you can at least sell close to $1m a year its an up hill battle at sm and that much longer you'll be parked there. I see so many rush to sm and then fail because they weren't ready and by the time they truly execute at a high level within the sm role they get counseled out because they're out of runway to the next level
This makes sense, but how do you start selling up to $1M a year?! Piggy back on other SMs and Partners and develop relationships?
Does the company provide any insight or coaching on how to approach selling?
I’ll have to ask my mentors about it to see.
When you say network, is it internally other managers, then SMs and partners, or clients? Or both?
