Placing a bet that PWC1 is 22 years old and has spent ~1 year living in the city
Haha I’m 28 and I’ve been here for a little over 2 years, but fair bet. I do need to explore more beyond the well known joints / chains.
For reliable establishments check Balthazar or Lafayette. Locanda Verde in TriBeCa, Jacobs Pickles for UES, Joseph Leonard or Jeffrey’s grocery in West Village, ABC Kitchen in gramercy actually has good brunch
Westville - Chelsea
Sarabeth's - Central Park South / Fidi
Egg Shop - Nolita
The Smith - East Midtown / Flatiron
Mud - East Village
This is great, thanks for the recs!
Cafe Mogador! I’ve only been to the one in Williamsburg, but think original location is in East Village
Second. East village location starts to fill up around 10:30
Bobo or Bubbys
Just keep in mind in NYC brunch doesn’t start until at least 11 cuz no one is awake before noon on weekends. Also means the world is your oyster if you are willing to go “early” at 11:30 for brunch
Good to know!
I really loved Johny’s Luncheonette between 124 W and 25th.
Two hands (tribeca)
Jacobs pickles (UWS)
Clinton St Baking Company
What neighborhoods in NYC? Depends where you are looking to be. I recommend brunch in soho - there are tons of spots. Agree with Lafayette and Balthazar above. Also I really enjoy eating at Little Prince, 12 Chairs and Sadelle’s. If you go to Sadelle’s you’ll need to put your name in early.
