I haven’t tried the AirPod Pros.
I have the QC35 and it’s been life saver for travel (airplanes.)
AirPod Pros are awful for calls in noisy areas (ex. in airports, walking down streets, etc). The noise cancelling feature apparently does not work nearly as well in the Pros vs the original AirPods. My partner has the Pros and I can never hear him when he calls, so I did some research and found that it’s a common problem with the Pros.
Can’t speak to the other model you mentioned, but I have Powerbeats and love them. I have no issues with the noise cancelling and the sound is great.
The original AirPods don’t have noise cancellation.
I find the AirPods Pro to be more practical, and hardly ever use my larger NC headphones anymore. Only advantages of the Bose are battery life (for several hours of continuous listening) and ability to plug in to IFE.
I actually used to have Bose and AirPod Pros, and the AirPod Pros honestly do enough of noise cancellation on the plane for me to stop using the bose, given the pros save so much space and much more convenient. But nothing beats bose if space is not an issue
Pro
I’d go with the pros. Way better integration with the iPhone, just not as comfortable for extended periods.
I have the Bose 700s and the AirPod Pros and gotta say having them both is pretty amazing. I use the pros a lot when I’m exercising, jumping on calls, around the house etc. the 700s come in really clutch when I was traveling, I want to unwind with a good album, or when I really need to dial in and grind some work out.
TLDR: the 700s are great workhorses and way better for travel, the Pros are great utility players for short use. If you had to get just one the pros are the move, but there’s no downside to owning both if you can afford to!

Bose headphones you can wear for extended periods of time with comfort + higher noise quality and higher noise cancelling quality. Good for extended periods of sitting down/working/consuming media. Airpod Pros are great for on the go activities, listening to music while doing chores/working out/walking the dog or taking spontaneous calls while out and about. Some overlap, but I find it beneficial to have both and use both in almost equal measure.
Curveball: Bose just released their “AirPod Pro killers” the QuietComfort Earbuds. So that’s in play as well, wondering if anyone has pulled the trigger/initial thoughts?
The Apple integration with the AirPods is great. Apple is about to announce AirPods Studio, which will presumably compete with the Bose overear headphones. Might be worth a look.
AirPods Pro for sure. Spatial audio in iOS 14 is mind blowing and I can’t wait to use it on a flight.

If you're fine with the battery life limitation on airpods pro then go for it.
If you are flying a lot QC 35 are essential in my opinion. AirPods are great for everyday use and very transportable
Pro
I have both - worth it
I have the OG AirPods which are great for short calls, for the longer ones I use my Sony noise canceling headphones I used to use on airplanes
