Healthcare Administrators!

I’m launching a podcast, and am looking for guests! The podcast is a very relaxed, unscripted, conversational show. We’d talk about all things healthcare. The good, bad, and ugly, and solutions!

This is a space to share your perspectives, experiences, knowledge, and insights! I want this to be a space to advocate for change, support others, and increase unity in the profession.

If interested please comment or message me!

Hi! What’s the podcast name? I’ll love to listen.

I would love to connect with you about possibly being a part of your podcast. I work for an organization that provides solutions for reducing Healthcare Workplace Violence. The increasing level of assaults on healthcare workers has reached epidemic levels. We are trying to let the healthcare community know that there is help out there. Please message me if this is something you would be willing to consider. Thank you

Associate in the NY office of a magic circle firm. Been really struggling with mental health issues for a long time - I feel like I’m begging for guidance/supervision and not getting any, and can’t get any support junior-wise either. I just get told I’m doing a “good job” but I’m pretty sure that’s just because no one is looking. Is the expectation just to magically figure out how to get things done solo, even if it’s the first time to do it? Is it better at NY-HQ firms that have more resources?

I'm a first yr attorney at an insurance firm and am in the process of interviewing for an in-house position at a tech company. The position is pretty much generalist, but I get the impression I'd be working mostly on SaaS and partnership transactions. I definitely think I would like the transactional work better, but I am concerned about the long-term earning potential vs. partnership. How common is it to eventually make $400k+ in-house/how difficult is it to transition back to a firm? Thanks!

How do I keep my team engaged when I am also struggling to stay motivated?

Our department has had a lot of turnover within the last few months, all of which were from different reasons (school, family issues, opportunities close to home, etc.). It has been a challenge to divide the workload, while still trying to remain flexible and provide a work-life balance.

However, I’m starting to feel stressed and disengaged. Any suggestions to make it through the changes?

What is a fair rate for a healthcare facility floor technician? Stripping and waxing floors?

Hi-seeking opinions here. I am a DON for our ambulatory care organization. My direct supervisor is the COO who reports to our CEO. Underneath me are all the clinic managers and ADON. We are all RNs. Our CEO now wants ALL the nursing leaders to regularly work on the floor as well. It’s not a matter of short staffing. I’m concerned re: safety of patients, and also the fact that all our main tasks will not get done. Performing all tasks well may mean burnout for some. Thoughts?

I’ve been tasked with vetting American Sign Language Interpretation Services for ‘in-person’ visits for my company. We have a service that meets our virtual appt needs, but not in-person.

Since state laws regarding in-person ASL interpretation vary from state to state, please share your state if you have a recommendation. I am in Pennsylvania.

Thank you!
