I am pretty much guaranteed to get promoted to SM this year. I am burned out and want WLB but am I shooting myself in the foot by leaving right before I get promoted to SM? Question regarding health insurance: I am going to be giving notice later this month and new insurance does not take effect until 1st if the month after 30 days of employment. So, I will most likely have a gap of one month with no insurance. Is that looked at as a bad thing in regards to insurance companies and what they will cover in the future? I really do not want to pay almost 2500 for a month of premiums when my family really does not go to the doctor frequently except for emergencies....

Left MBB 2 years post Mba to pursue equivalent pay and amazing wlb in a “big old tech” strategy team (think IBM, Dell, HP). I thought boring work would be fine in the context but after 1 year it’s getting to me.
