Very interesting question. If they have not washed their bum, and then the force of the toot breaks loose particles from their bum, leading to an aerosol event of those particles, and they penetrate through the double cotton barriers of underwear and pants, then there is the possibility. Thank you for reading this logical analysis of the situation. Critique below and let’s see what we come up with.

OP, well clearly any aerosol poo 💩 particulates that contain Covid could float to the other person’s unmasked face (though most would hit the ground). Probably impacted by the air circulation dynamics within the elevator as it moves. Would be interesting to know if moving up or down would be higher risk. We need a large government grant to study this.

D4, it’s not question about a solid, but rather a gas. Or potentially, solids mixed with gas at best. Alternatively, a gas causing an explosive combustion of a solid that then aersolizes the solid into a deadly toxin.
Lol. Apparently possible? https://torontosun.com/news/weird/can-covid-19-be-spread-through-farts
I feel like the chance of catching it from their breath particles making it through their mask or your mask would be a greater possibility, but I’m no doctor
Why. Just why!?

COVID-19 is a respiratory illness. Last time I checked, that doesn’t include your lower half. Maybe if they had the Ebola virus you would be in trouble.

Sounds crazy, but it is actually possible.
Smell particles are hot so they rise, but COVID particles are cold so they don’t.
I have not retained an expert for this opinion.
Yo we also forgot how heat kills Covid particles

Just thinking about this further, could it be possible that this phenomenon is linked to outbreaks in bars?
