Heard a new term. Covid-concious. As in 'How Covid-concious are you?' to be mindful of someone's feelings towards the virus and the precautions they are taking, when speaking to them / near them.

I’m not near anyone anymore so I think that solves that problem

You have to be covid-concious to be truly woke.

This should absolutely not be a thing. Behave as if everyone is “covid-conscious”, like don’t hang out two inches from their face just because they’re okay with it.

For context a neighbor, standing 8 ft away when talking, invited us to a social distancing happy hour. Then asked "how covid-concious are you guys" in a way to guage if we were open to attending or very concerned with exposure and would rather stay home. You don't need to be up in someone's face just because they say no.

It goes both ways guys. Like if you don't care because you aren't at risk of don't think this is a big deal, you can just be NOT covid-concious. It's just a polite way to check if this is something important to the person you are addressing, so that you can be mindful of them even if it's not important to you.

You can be not covid-concious if you are not worried about getting it. I'm at low risk age and health wise, don't live with grandparents and don't care if I get it since we all will eventually. Doesn't mean I'm not 99% home, wearing a mask and gloves and full sleeves to the grocery store once in 2 weeks so that I don't get it and spread it. My concern is spreading it, not getting it. In comparison, some who is covid-concious may have health concerns, have an immune system issue, live with someone who does our live with grandparents. So they are more concerned about getting it. No one wants to spread it. Some don't care if they get it, and will easily isolate at home.

Does anyone know of where to find remote part time work opportunities for older Indian women? My mom was a part-time after school teacher but has not been doing that due to covid (dad is high risk). I’m having her do some online typing lessons to get her to be a faster typer, maybe find her a data entry gig. She does not want to do nanny’ing / babysitting. She’s a great teacher though and she’s trilingual (Telugu, hindi) - anyone know of where to find opportunities?

Hi. I have a question. In a world where COVID is under control, how would you feel if your companies went back to being fully in the office? But maybe others were adopting a hybrid model- some days remote, some days in the office. Would it make you want to work elsewhere? How important is being able to work remote (at a location of your choice, not at client /travelling) a few days a week to your job satisfaction?

Hey everyone, so my sister and her boyfriend have both gained about 60-70 pounds since COVID started. Just need to vent: my friend refuses to bring up the topic of covid and how it will likely effect her wedding. She’s just moving forward like we aren’t in a pandemic and it’s becoming exhausting trying to be supportive and excited for her when it feels like she’s living in a fantasy world. She just had us purchase bridesmaids dresses and I can’t help but feel like it was a complete waste of a few hundred dollars. I feel bad for having these thoughts but I’m over it.
