Recognizing the market value Deloitte has assigned to your role and is paying less experienced hires yet isn't paying you is considered spoiled?
Fair point! Misread what you'd intended haha
Paying first years more than second years is silly. It’s implying a year at Deloitte actually lowers your market value. I sure as hell would revolt if somebody tried to tell me that.
They right to do it though. A year more experienced and making less. Pay adjustments should always apply to current employees as well to bring them level with new hires.
Kids are spoiled these days. I was out of grad school with a technical degree 5 years ago when they hired me for $55 ☹️
Cool
Yep they're upset because even with their adjustment, they're making less than incoming BTA's. Some are saying that GPS didn't get adjusted so they're way below.
They don’t understand that they will make more money come September than the new hires. We are all waiting for our pay bumps at that point. This happens every time the new campus hires get a higher starting salary. It will be okay. The difference is like 50 cents per hour after taxes and they’ll go beyond it after year end raises. Then the raise is dependent on performance.
It’s standard to get raises in September. They will be getting 2 raises this year. Hence the comment that they shouldn’t be complaining about getting a raise.
Agreed D1. I got hired in at a similar salary 5 years ago. It is just crazy
Accenture is a bit interesting. Strategy is 85 but tech/mc range from 75-80. All else, people need to be grateful on what they have and the opportunities they have
You gotta put your time in. Nothing great until you make partner. Look at this as a long term investment. Not short term
Pessimist! There are good exit options. Also, the entry level positions are better than a lot of entry level positions elsewhere
