Heard only about ~1% of Europeans have requested “the Right to be Forgotten,” aka have their online data removed. How does one confirm the veracity of that statement? If true, does that in conjunction with how most Americans willingly give up their info online validate the theory that most Europeans and Americans don’t value (per their action) “privacy” as much as they claim?

Start with, where did you hear this? Have you Googled it? I don't think you can connect use of data rights to interest in protecting privacy.

Heard it from a lecture given by Lisa Hook (Former President and CEO, Neustar). In doing my due diligence, can’t find anything online to validate her statement, hence me asking on this forum.

does the money in this profession (i.e. tax) come with time? it’s been a hard few years and sometimes i feel foolish for choosing this. at least knowing long term i can one day make low to mid 100s may make it worthwhile

Hi everyone,

Is £48k a decent salary in London? That's roughly 3k net/month.
I'm a 27M, single.
I'm thinking of renting a room for 750/800 a month, that leaves me with ~£2100, if I get the Oyster card that's another 150, and for groceries/going out I guess I won't need more than 600/month.
That allows me to save ~£1400/month.
Am I being too optimistic/unrealistic?

Thanks!

Bny purposely release matching offer ? will they increase offer & provide joining bonus ?

Note: 1 month NP pending & nothing in pipeline ( reduced interview call)

Best way to handle such scenario to get best result from bny

Low billable, low pressure work in privacy law? Slowly realizing that as my boys get older, the money isn’t worth what I’m missing out on. Currently a tech litigation associate with lots of hearing, depo and trial experience (I’ve appeared on my own at hearings/depos) at a well respected firm. I have limited privacy experience despite being hired for that reason… Have my CIPM and CIPP/US /E and /C. Remote preferred; hubs is pilot with cool intl transfer opportunities. Money isn’t issue.

I am in need of advice. I've spent the last few years working on the foundations for a career in privacy and would like to keep doing so. But not in practice due to a prior suspension, character limits limit explanation, and I don't want that life. I applied for my dream job for my first major career goal and was told not just no but never. Never would I be allowed to work in my company's legal department.

Is this what I should expect? Nevers? Just give up and regroup?
Thanks folks.
