5-6 years now if you started as fresher.
The Visa is only processed for Associate consultant or higher grade employee. Sometimes if you get lucky it can be processed in IT analyst grade as well.

It's highly hypothetical... Covid has reduced the onsite seats....

There is a huge queue of project long timers... And other commitments from managers... Etc...

So be wary... If u have a good network and good rapport with management, you can secure a position...

Or if u are extremely skilled, or having rare technologies skillset.. or if u are so obviously unignorable... You can get it...

I got onsite.. after much pushing after my 4 years in TCS... Stayed in onsite for 7 years....

Cleared Technical round in TCS and HR called me yesterday and asked expected CTC. I asked for 7lpa and he said he have ability to give only upto 5.5lpa (40% hike), and for more than that he needs to ask his senior and revert back.
