Has anyone gone for an H1B visa appointment in Pakistan in recent months, especially in April? Have some questions & would really appreciate help.

I received my H-1B visa and will be traveling to U.S. for my first time in January 2022. Employer is asking for I-94 (given during entry) and SSN (need to apply when I arrive) before my moving date. Has anyone else encountered this problem and is there a workaround?

Hiring folks! How much time does immigration team takes to approve or decline a visa sponsorship case? Been waiting for 2 weeks but still standard answer - waiting to hear back from immigration team.

Looks like Delta will operate 18 flights between India and US (only Newark and SF though) and other airlines will resume soon too but it’s not clear whether folks with visitor/tourist visa can fly on these. My parents in India would like to visit us (they understand risks with COVID but ok with it). Any insight into whether tourist/visitor (B1/B2) visas are allowed?

For those, who are immigrants, what made you stay in New York? Would be especially interested to hear from those who didn’t come for economical reasons. I am told the excitement about the city wears off 😅 I am European, just came 2 years ago and am still loving it, but also start to wonder if staying in a job I don’t like it’s all worth it (I am on L1 visa, so no way to find a new job). I am a Senior People (HR) Business Partner working in NYC under an H-1B visa (9 years of experience). I am looking for something new, but I am finding it extremely difficult to find a company who would support an H-1B Change of Employer (COE). I either get declined immediately as part of the application process or get told the company does not support visa sponsorship for non-tech roles. Any tips, tricks, or great companies where an H-1B COE would not be an issue?
