"Everybody can be a leader" some say... "Leaders are nurtured not born" say others... True.
But... this is also true: "not everybody wants to be a leader" (whether they can or can't be). It is a fairly common practice in organizations with traditional career management structures for people to "be promoted" into leadership roles as the "end steps of the corporate ladder" that was climbed doing technical work. And, unfortunately, this doesn't work all the time

After 6 yrs of PM/PO out of college working for Cigna, I was informed my position is being eliminated due to “staff reductions to combat with rising costs of healthcare.” I was offered severance & I’ve got several positions in the works with the same company thankfully. I was caught off-guard, never had a bad review & was expecting a promotion soon. If there’s ever been a sign to jump ship it’s now. I’m an enthusiastic PM ready to embrace new challenges. Any1 want to hire me? DM for resume! 🤝 🤞🏼
How does a creative director transition to director of marketing at a company? I have an interview for this position but need advice on how my skills transfer. Thanks in advance!
Wanted to get a sense from data science folks working/worked at FAANG on how does the year evaluation looks like for data science/analytics folks at these firms? What are the key metrics of performance which the firm evaluate these people on?
One of my favorite things about working from an office is that my team has a strong emphasis on collaboration and communication—we have daily stand-ups and weekly meetings where everyone on the team gets together to talk about what everyone's working on. That's definitely made it easier to stay motivated throughout the week.
Hi what is an acceptable salary range for an associate director in biotech( +10 y experience)
Going from consulting to account management? Good choice or nah? Would there be any opportunity to get back into consulting afterward?

Got promoted last year in October. Got an offer back in March 2021. My current company retained me stating that they will promote me in October but compensated me with a cash bonus. Things took a wrong turn and I landed up in a shitty project.Zero technical growth.
Got another offer similar to previous one. Location is my hometown. Profile is good.
If I resigned, I will lose the retention bonus & won’t be getting paid for the next 3 months + festive season is starting.

If you talk to an independent recruiter, but then the hiring agency recruiter reaches out, do you let the independent recruiter know?
Just joined this bowl. Seeing a ton of “What is Agency X’s culture like...” posts.
You don’t honestly think one is different than the other, do you? Please help me understand
I finished the recruiter, and hiring manager interviews, both went very well. The hiring manager wants to fly me to their location to “show me the site” but I haven’t heard back for almost a week.
When I let the recruiter know I had other opportunities and needed an update, they said they were finalizing getting the panel together, so it sounds like a group interview.
This is for a senior role at a rapidly growing startup, do I just need to chill?

Very close to receiving a job offer for a fast growin start-up company related to dental. It is located in SF which unfortunately is not Americas most expensive city to live in (I’d have to move there). Started pricing apartments and will need an offer of about $135k to qualify for housing but anything I find for a salary reference says the company plays about 95k in SF - how do I justify my experience and drive to the company to show my value or is that too big of a wage gap to bridge? TY!!
What is a responsible salary to ask for as a dietitian in the greater Seattle area? Most jobs are offering 70-75,000$ and although that is a good salary I can’t afford to live around Seattle if I accept that. I’ve been a dietitian for 5 years and it seems like dietitians aren’t paid fairly for the work load we are expected to take on.
Hi I work in patient finance and I am desperately bored with my job. I have a bachelors which isn’t a requirement for my role. I have been applying non stop to jobs that do require a bachelors and I am qualified for. Either I don’t get called for an interview or when I do I’m not selected. I have followed up with some of the interviewers and they all told me I interview well. I am so tired of disappointment that I feel like giving up and just settling. I don’t know what to do.
Anyone have confessions about Kaiser Permanente? Looking to apply for a position there, and looking for a way out of my current healthcare position that's run by a corporation. So nervous about going into other large companies but wanted to see if anyone has some insider pros/cons I should consider

Paternalistic Hierarchy: how can you manage?
I have been given new bosses 2x in 60-90 days. We now have 15 minute huddles every morning on bus dev activities. The newest boss who I now directly report is with us 5 weeks. The one before him that is with us for 90 days I reported to until 2 weeks ago. Yesterday at the 90 day guy disrespected me in front of the team in the huddle. I text him after & told him that. Should he apologize? He hasn't. It ruined my day.
What do y’all think a Certified Nursing Assistant should get paid per hour? I feel like I’m getting cut short on pay. I’m from Texas if that helps.
Amerisourcebergen hires managers who harass you and Corp protects them even when you have hard evidence of being harassed.
When you are last person patient sees before getting intubation you see heart wrenching fear in their eyes this is last time they will be talking to anyone Coronavirus I hate you
Amerisourcebergen doesn't care about its employees. We have no mental health awareness. Leadership only promotes people who kiss ass the most qho have no managerial experience and pass people who actually have experience in a manager role. Leadership never helps you with anything. Managers write you up for no reason amd threaton your job constantly. Ive have leasherip threaten my job while on FMLA and write me up for taking too much time off
Looking for a career opportunity that I can make $100k+. I have been in dental for about 10 years and held a ton of roles ranging from front desk to operations and training. What setting do you work in? How many years experience and what is your hourly wage? I have 10 years experience, and am a CLT and I was getting paid $25.93/hr in a SNF and I think I was getting low balled. I am applying for new positions and want to make sure I am requesting high enough, but not too high. Thanks!
