At what point in the process should or do I have to tell them I’d be taking mat leave soon after I start? I don’t want to be dishonest but getting an offer without this is hard enough I feel like this would be a blocker. They are big enough that it wouldn’t hurt them. Does anyone have goals of investing their earnings to buy real estate? From doing tax work you see the potential in building a real estate portfolio, but lately I’ve been having doubts about it even being worth doing if you don’t have the real estate professional status with the IRS. Do you all think it is worth it, or would you rather put your money in the market/401k/IRA? And yes I understand the market is bad right now, I’m talking in general when the market is normal.

Decided to change my 401k at work to a Roth 401k. Do y’all think this is a good idea, do people generally prefer Roth ?

Currently 6 years at job A at 100K and 10K annual bonus but lil to no upward mobility. It's safe if not going anywhere.

Recruiter reached out regarding Job B at 130K with greater advancement potential but it starts out at 6 Months Contract to Hire per the agency contract. No bonus, benefits adequate by comparison. There is no guarantee to go full time.
