Has anyone moved from Accenture Federal to CGI Federal at Manager/Senior Manager level? Looking at Strategy/Organizational Change Management roles, and curious to know if you feel that compensation and benefits were worth it when measured against your actual experience once you started working with CGI. (I understand that some of it depends on the account you're on, the team you have, etc., just trying to decide if it's worth considering.) Thanks!

That’s a very decent starting position.
Take it. Start at BAH.
Aim for $90k in 2 more years, if you don’t get there then jump elsewhere after 2 years.
So BAH’s staff aug side that is assigned to a fixed contract is ~90% of the workforce there.
You CAN move around. Point is to get your foot in the door and start somewhere.
Like I said, it’s a fair offer for entry level. You want to get to $90k in 2 years. If that doesn’t happen, then it’s a wash, your team and career manager aren’t good fits and you can launch to a different place.
I’ve been with Booz for 4 years, in that time I got my masters and recently switched to a new role that is completely different than my last one. So yes, it’s definitely possible. Depending on what you want to switch to, you may need to lean on your previous experience, so it will have to be somewhat relevant to where you go from here if you don’t want to go from an experienced roll in one LCAT to an entry level one in another. Also try to make the switch sooner rather than later (like after a year) so you don’t become too expensive in your current line of work, because that’ll make it harder to place you elsewhere.
Your CM/SA aren’t likely to be supportive of you trying to jump ship from your current role so soon, so put in a year, crush it, and convince them that you’re worth the firm holding onto, even if you don’t want to stay in your current role.
It’ll definitely be easier to lateral into other roles at Booz than a small business firm. Is SAP what you want to be doing for the rest of your career? If so the job might be a good stepping stone. If not it could be a dead end. Don’t be distracted by dollar signs too early in your career. Figure out what you enjoy doing, what’s important to you, and keep your options open until you can honestly say you’re content for the long term. Regardless of your employer, you’ll almost always grow your compensation fastest by moving around every 2-5 years, so choose whatever employer will set you up for a better NEXT job. Booz is a very good option from that perspective.
I’d advise to accept. Like you, I didn’t start off in a “dream” position at the firm, but a couple years later I am making my way there with several available firm opportunities that are in my desired career trajectory. Your Career Manager (CM) is there as your guide to help you get to where you want to be. I was straight out of undergrad when I joined the firm and have been really pleasantly surprised at the amount of opportunity offered within the firm. Networking is key at this firm, and in consulting in general, and has been pivotal in helping me get to where I want to be
I started out doing cybersecurity but have since pivoted to doing more national security type of work. Hope this helps! Happy to talk further if need be
What’s the offer? Salary and level. And do you have 1 YOE?
Sign on bonus and relocation for that salary is a fair offer. Honestly, my thing about senior consultant is that they don’t receive overtime. Depending on the role and expected support, starting at consultant level isn’t a bad idea.
YOE= Years of Experience
I’ve been with Booz for 23 years. Worked DoD, commercial and internal. Never thought I’d be with BAH so long but the people and various opportunities have kept me here (jobs, growth/development, promotions). Good luck!
Thank you for the encouragement! May please I message you for follow up questions?
For a 23 year old. Do it
