Are take home assignments the norm for director of product interviews?

I'm interviewing for a director of product role at a not-for-profit. I'm at the last interview. It is a panel interview, and I will be receiving a prompt that I should spend 3 to 6 hours on and then present to the panel 72 hrs later. I already had four separate interviews with this company, one of which was what was with the acting CPO.

I’m looking to pivot from Finance to Proj Mgmt and currently working through the Google course in order to sit for the CAPM. My only PM experience comes from stepping in on accounts I manage, where there is no PM presence. That means, most of those tasks were related to the budget and scoping, not necessarily execution.
