What do you do? What is a Health Information Operations rep? Who do you report to?

i audit medical charts before billing to make surevthey are complete

At my system it’s called “health information management” as a department.

I have seen that but not as a job title.

I think they’re just calling it something different but ultimately you are part of the HIM department and would be a tech or a specialist.

Yes that’s also a title that would fit what you currently do.

like

You can’t find mines either but try Health Operations and go from there.

HIM or Health Information Management is another title for your department, it’s a real role, try looking that up.

Hi Everyone,
I had my 1 to 1 with my boss on Monday, at which time I brought up the fact that I felt like I was operating above my role of Marketing Assistant and said I felt that I was doing tasks that fell in line of Marketing Manager. After an honest conversation, he said that I fit more with Marketing Associate. He said he'd like me to learn more strategic thinking and leadership skills and recommended I get involved with a local business organization. Any recommendations?

For me, it's that you are in charge of your own career and no one cares about it like you do. Ask for what you want and make your own opportunities. Doing great work is a good first step, but it's not enough to really build the career you want.

My friend just got an offer with middle market public accounting firm.
She will start as first year manager $133k + 5k sign on. However she will not be considered for current year(2022) performance evaluation/pay raise as her start date just misses the cut off (end of March), and that being said she won’t get a pay raise or bonus till Aug 2023. What counter offer should she argue yet still reasonable? Should she ask for a higher base or higher sign on?

I'm a US citizen living abroad I applied almost 11 months ago for my spouse. Married for years, kid. I wait and wait. It seems this will take 2 years, maybe more. I feel trapped. On one side the US system demands I work and domicile in US, the other side says families should be prioritized to stay together. My spouse has had enough of the process. I feel trapped abroad and locked in a dysfunctional system. We're just in limbo, it's depressing

How do you cope when it feels as if every 6 months, someone you considered a mentor, a confidant, and a friend decides to leave the firm (yes I know you can still be acquaintances), but it’s really not the same when you can’t just ask off the cuff questions and vent over MS Teams; or hangout in the office or at LakeHouse; or commiserate about difficult clients, and in those moments, learning a great deal from that person who has been in your shoes and understands what you’re going through

I’m a fairly new grad. Got licensed in January and started working in February. I moved across the state for this job taking my family with me. Now 4 months in it’s such a toxic environment. Unethical, unhealthy. I’m looking to apply to other places. Do I put this company on my resume to show I’ve been working since I graduated or is it worse to show I want to leave after only 4 months? Also, absolutely cannot have them contact my current job or use them as a reference. Put them or no?
