Has anyone ever considered or thought of negotiating based on not going to use maternity leave? **I know this opens up a world of possibilities, namely men being able to do this every time but just curious how non-moms feel about one of their "benefits" being a maternity leave that youll never use**
Why is being a mom and working in healthcare so difficult? I always feel like I am failing.
Anyone else feel like they just can’t get by? My wife and I make about 155k combined and we are barely getting by with our mortgage and bills. We made a budget and everything seems to be necessary. Are prices of things going up that much? We barely eat out or spend lavishly.. Anyone else in the same predicament?
Not in IB or ER, but I have to ask (per CFA study), how common is it to run in to troublesome pension accounting issues? It seems like most companies have/are going the way of DC plans and away frm DB
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/05/technology/parents-time-off-backlash.html As a non-parent, I get why it’s important to provide some accommodations to workers with parents and am in full support of parental benefits. The employees complaining about this seem to be entitled and spoiled. What is the bowl’s take on this article?
Just started at a new company and can’t contribute to 401k this year. Am I eligible to contribute to a deductible ira or no because I was participating to 401k at my previous employer this year already? If anyone knows good CPA to answer this let me know …
Hi Fishes, Can anyone tell me about the Developer Specialist Role in Google Operations Center? I have an offer for the Salesforce Developer Specialist role. How is WLB there? Any Benefits? Is it worth moving to GOC?
I like my current position, HOWEVER, I was offered a 20,000 raise with a different company in a city that has a lower cost of living. Is loyalty going to get me further in the future? Or should I take the job with better benefits and a higher pay?
I recently started a new job. What’s the most prudent thing to do with my old job’s 401k?
Hello, I’m a certified occupational therapy assistant and looking to utilize my bachelors in healthcare administration to transitioning my career into a more non-clinical role. Ideally I’d like the flexibility to work remotely. However, I’m having such a hard time landing an interview. Is anyone good with helping transition resumes from clinical to managerial/administration?
Working to update agency’s family leave policy. Can you all provide what your policies are, agency name, location, and if it has changed recently? We can all use this info to push for real change.✊
Can any Deloitte moms (unless this applicable across forms, I have no idea) help me understand how family leave works? I’m trying to fill out the form with the dates for STD waiting period, STD, family leave, and PTO. Do STD and family leave overlap or is each one consecutive? Is STD paid at 60% or 100%?
Is this feeling regret or nervousness or felt settling? Started new job and had 60k pay bump and same hours. I would say pay bump is main driver but also the professional development in learning new tech. I do feel kind of unexcited though. Maybe its some of the benefits like 21 days pto instead of 28 plus collective disconnects. Also no wellbeing sub. Having to set passcodes like every hour for security reasons. Is this just new job jitters or prelude to something people experienced before?
Does anyone have any recommendations for a great PPO health insurance as a self-employed person/small independent business owner in America? I’m based in the Bay Area primarily but would ideally like international coverage. Would love to hear your insurances and premiums.
Is it okay to receive some money from former company after leaving them? I got wfh reimbursement (seems to be required in CA) them with W-2 but not sure if it's okay to receive it in the federal level.
