I have a Masters from target Uni in Europe mainland, 3+ years of international work experience (US, Asia and Europe) in in-house consulting and currently at a startup. What is a normal pay cut to go in house? For reference, I am a 5th year corporate associate making approx 250k base salary. I was just offered 180k base salary. Is it unreasonable to expect to be around my current rate which is “market” for my city? I am getting higher package offers like Nagarro permanent wfh. But i am hearing that Tcs will be good for WLB and less work stress. Is this true? Cognizant put my candidature on hold after both rounds of interviews and HR ended up telling me that it’s coz of my current CTC. They will interview more candidates and accordingly get back to me . As of now, my candidature is “on hold”.

I was told that they’d have to give me a higher designation to justify my kind of salary. Right now my YOE fall in Manager band. How true is this?

Current CTC is 8 ( I was underpaid in prev. companies 😢)
