Hi fellow HIG colleague! You sound just like me - I was desperate to get out of the customer-facing role. I recently transitioned from claims to IT. I have heard pretty good things about Underwriting, and would be happy to network if you want some internal insight :)

Hello there, thats sounds great .yes if i would get more insight that would be great . I feel like I am in same boat . Very desp to change .

How are your tech skills? Plenty of back-office jobs that aren't customer-facing, but most would be tech-related, like data analyst or developer. Claims adjusters deal with customers but not a ton, so maybe that would be an option?

like

Hi there! Thanks for ur input . I do have some prior IT background but that was like 1 yr of experience . I want to change into IT as well but cannot do heavy coding .. i will look further into it .thank you :)

Business Analyst for insurance - various degrees of IT knowledge depending on the role. Sounds like you maybe be able to get into this and work your way up.

Have you considered an analytics role? It’s a good balance of query builds, report building, analyzing data and working with stakeholders. I work in analytics at Liberty Mutual. You can start in an entry-level role with lots of room for growth. Our managers really pride themselves on developing their employees and promoting from within. I would recommend!
