Hello all! I have scaled my way from being a medical assistant, to clinical supervisor, to my newest role as a patient service manager or 2 depts. In the next 18 - 24 months I would like to make the move to a director title within a health tech company. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to transfer from clinic to health tech?
The best way is to join a small startup with the title of director. Later, you can transfer to a bigger company as a director. I have seen that strategy in multiple of my friends.
I would suggest trying to get a personal referral. Networking is really helpful when you are trying to make a switch like that. See if someone in here would be able to refer you even :).
Awesome. Thank you for the suggestion.
You are Goals! Congratulations I’m a medical assistant and trying to scale back from clinicals and do more managing roles! Can you please share how to get where you are!?
Soooooo happy for you! This is definitely something that i want to do! I’m going to look into starting with some leadership courses! And for you to have a role created just for YOU! That was nobody but God! Congratulations again
