I will be an incoming Junior student at UMN and I am currently looking to pursue a career either in consulting (MBB or Big 4) or investment banking (Lazard,Piper Sandler,JPMorgan Chase).

I am unsure how competitive I am compared to other amazing candidates out there. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do to land an internship in these two fields?

I interviewed with a company last week and the interviewer said he would submit my notes to the hiring manager and I would hear back this Monday from HR on next steps/if they want to move forward. I didn’t hear back yesterday so I emailed HR and she said she wasn’t part of the hiring decision so would reach out to the initial interviewer for his feedback. I haven’t heard from her and it’s been 24 hours - starting to get worried. What should I do? Does this mean they’re not interested?
